Think Small

Small spaces can work well

New Orleans Tiny Houses

Since we don’t have an IKEA in Louisiana, I recently made my first visit to one while at a conference in Atlanta. I know, it’s not the highest quality stuff, but what I took away was the way they designed some very small spaces to include kitchens, living and sleeping space. All in under 600 square feet in most of the displays, which would definitely be smaller than most New Orleans tiny houses.

There’s been a trend among home buyers to think small. Instead of a sprawling home, many are choosing a condo or other not-so-big space that doesn’t require as much cleaning or upkeep. This requires a trade off in the number of bedrooms and baths that you’ll have, but it also makes ownership a bit more affordable.
