Crescent City Living is Moving
We are moving the Crescent City Living office next month and it’s given me a whole new appreciation of what our buyers and tenants go through during their own moves.
Initially, there was the terminal search for something affordable in the areas we wanted the most. Wading through the overpriced and funky was oh so much fun (where’s that sarcasm font when I need it?).
When we found the right place, there was a lot of driving back and forth to the listing agents office, since they didn’t use a lockbox to make it easy to show.
Then, there was the negotiation with the landlord to allow us to wait a month to move in and to make some changes to the property to suit our needs.
That was just the beginning. Our current office space supplied internet service and utilities, so we’ve had to make arrangements for all of the services we need to keep the place up and running.
Whew. We haven’t even begun to move furniture and equipment yet…or paint…or get the service people in there for phone and internet installation. I will say that Entergy was a pleasure to deal with, so that’s been a bright spot in the whole journey.
I’m looking forward to sharing the new space with y’all as it comes together. And if you’re good with a paint brush, I’ll happily trade you some pizza in exchange for some of your time 🙂
