Fillmore New Orleans
Bounded by Robert E. Lee Blvd., Bayou St. John, Harrison Ave and the London Avenue Canal, the Fillmore neighborhood is part of the section of New Orleans known as Gentilly.
Home to Holy Cross School, the neighborhood has been on the upswing over the last 10 years, with an incredible number of complete renovations and newly built homes as a result of flood damages after Hurricane Katrina.
If you’re looking for a neighborhood with yards, off street parking and a suburban feel, Fillmore is the right place. The average lot measures 60 x 120 although some of the new construction is on more narrow 40 x 100 lots.
If you’re looking for a walkable neighborhood with bars and restaurants, Fillmore is mostly residential and car dependent and may not be the best choice.
