Treme New Orleans LA

  • Established in 1810 as the first subdivision in New Orleans
  • Predominantly cottages and shotgun double architecture
  • Armstrong Park
  • Congo Square
  • Mahalia Jackson Theatre
  • New Orleans African-American Museum

The television show “Treme” brought renewed interest to the neighborhood from new residents, along with a resurgence in buying and renovating some of the historic properties located there. The result has been increased prices and demand in what was a traditionally working class neighborhood.

Treme is bounded by N. Rampart, N. Claiborne, St. Bernard Avenue and Basin Street/Orleans Avenue, and bordered by the French Quarter, the Marigny, the 7th Ward and Mid City.

The location is fantastic, in close proximity to both downtown New Orleans and the Quarter.
