Trust is the bedrock of the relationship between you and your New Orleans broker. When you decided to hang your license at your brokerage, I assume that you believed that it existed.
Do you trust your broker?
Do you trust that they will have your back when there is a problem? That they will help you brainstorm solutions to some of the crazy issues that come up during a transaction? Will they support your business goals, no matter how big or how small?
Does your broker trust you?
Do they give you the freedom to decide how to run your business, within the law? Do they provide all of the support you need without interference?
How well do you communicate with each other?
You have to speak the same language when it comes to getting your point across to anyone you come in contact with. And I don’t mean the same language as in English or Spanish or French. I mean that you need to be on the same page with expectations, with how guidance and training are provided, and in your ability to make yourself understood.
Understand the role of your New Orleans broker
Your broker is there to provide risk management, compliance, commission payments, support, and training. Keeping you informed, out of real estate jail, and uber-educated should be the daily goal.
Understand your role
Your role is exceptional client care + retention, writing clean contracts, problem-solving, and not being a diva. Of course, there’s waaaaaay more to a real estate business than this, but you get the point.
You and your New Orleans broker hired each other. Like any other relationship, there must be trust between you for the relationship to be successful in the long run.
