Attracting like-minded clients to your business
We’ve talked about building your brand, but once it’s created, how do you go about attracting like-minded clients that will work well with you? How do you find your people?
Be Yourself
Everyone else is taken, so go all in on being yourself. Are you a numbers nerd? Embrace it! Are you an architecture geek? There are plenty of them that will love you. Are you snarky and funny and irreverent? There are loads of people that want an agent that’s not stuffy, but makes the process fun.
Wherever you fall on the spectrum, just be you and you’ll attract the people who will love working with you.
Referrals and Reviews
Referrals and reviews from your past clients are an excellent way to attract new clients that probably have a similar mind-set as your past happy clients. There’s not much more that gives social proof to your skills than to get a glowing review or recommendation from your buyers and sellers.
Where should they leave these reviews? It’s up to the client what they are comfortable with, but Google, Facebook, and Realtor.com are the top 3 for gaining the trust of potential new clients.
Create content they like
Is your social media stream full of nothing but just listed/sold and open house posts? You’re missing out on a big opportunity to create content that speaks to the very people you want to work with. What are their dreams? Their fears? What real estate myths can you bust? What are your thoughts on the current market? Create content that addresses your potential clients where they are in life, and they’ll be ringing your phone off the hook. If you’ve got a blog, even better – it’s your chance to show them what you’ve got.
