Though I am not a New Orleans native, I grew up an hour from here on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Because of its close proximity, I spent a significant amount of time in New Orleans as a child and well into my adult years. I have always felt fortunate to have New Orleans at my doorstop, experiencing all that the city has to offer from dining to festivals to live music. I can truly say that I was hooked on this city at an early age and I am proud to now call it home.
While living in Mississippi, I attended the University of Southern Mississippi, where I obtained a B.A. in International Studies with a concentration in Asian Studies. My degree led me to Sydney, Australia to study Asian culture and history.
During my free time, you will find me walking my rescue dog, Hazel. You can spot us roaming the streets of New Orleans looking for all of the hidden neighborhood gems or discovering curbside treasures to repurpose. I am an animal lover and advocate. I love my pit bulls and I am a defender of the breed. I believe in not judging a book by its cover and giving everyone a second chance whether dog or human.

Mardi Gras or Jazz Fest?
Oh, Mardi Gras…for sure! I love wearing costumes and dancing in the streets!
What’s your favorite po-boy?
Roast Beef! The messier the better! If I don’t use an entire roll of paper towels, there’s not enough gravy on it.
Beer or wine?
Z-all of the above! Life is too short to deprive yourself.
Cats or dogs?
I love all animals, but I love the puppers.
Rice or potato salad in your gumbo?
I like a scoop of mashed potatoes.
Coffee or Tea?
Coffee with a brown sugar and cream.
