Lakeview New Orleans LA – A History Lesson

One of the best friends of Crescent City Living is a local historian, Edward Branley. Ed has written books about streetcars, Maison Blanche and other New Orleans icons.

We had a chance recently to sit down with him and get a little bit of Lakeview history, including the fascinating tidbit that the lakefront actually used to be where Robert E. Lee Blvd. is today.

      Rhonda, when the pumps are working, it drains fine. But we always recommend that everyone have flood insurance. You just never know what can happen.
