New Orleans Condo Fees
Prior to the 1980s, condos were few and far between in New Orleans. But the recent trend of moving back to city centers has resulted in a much bigger selection of condos not just downtown, but across the parish.
One of the factors that condo buyers need to take into account is the monthly condo fee attached to a property and what that fee pays for.
Typically, condo fees cover exterior maintenance, property insurance and landscaping.
In some developments, you’ll find doormen, pools, gyms, concierge services and, sometimes, even parking. Your budget will ultimately determine what kind of extras you can expect to find in a unit, so talk to your lender when qualifying for a mortgage to determine what flexibility you have in monthly fees.
