Sitting between City Park and the 17th Street canal, Lakeview is near Lake Pontchartrain, the lake, Metairie, and a quick hop onto the interstate will get you just about anyplace in the metro area quickly.

Due to flooding during Katrina, you’ll find that Lakeview homes have either been newly built since 2005 or were gutted and completely renovated. This has resulted in high demand for the neighborhood, particularly from families searching for large, newer homes.
