Frenchmen Street New Orleans
Years and years ago, my husband and I used to sneak away from the kids late at night and head down to Snug Harbor on Frenchmen Street. We knew there would be good food, good drinks and usually some stellar local musicians performing in the back room
That’s back before the next generation discovered Frenchmen and transformed it, along with the Marigny neighborhood, into one of the hippest places in New Orleans to live and play. Hip doesn’t mean trendy here, with a variety of live music clubs offering everything from traditional blues and jazz to hip-hop, reggae, R&B and the best of the best in local musicians.
Lined with shops, cafes and clubs, it’s got a quintessential New Orleans vibe which means everyone is welcome. We invite you to visit and discover this not-so-secret gem just outside of the French Quarter.
