Knocking Marrero out of the top affordable spot, the 70094 zip code recorded the highest number of sales up to $100,000. Including homes in Westwego, Avondale, Bridge City, and Waggaman, it looks like investment properties and renovation opportunities are being scooped up near the Huey P. Long.

Marrero, once again, is the winner in the $100k-$200k price range, with 23 of the 74 homes sold. As a comparison, there were only 55 homes sold in this range in all of the city of New Orleans in November. The West Bank is definitely the place to find affordable housing!

$200,000-$300,000
Marrero hung in there again in November, but Algiers picked up the pace in the $200k-$300k range, ending with a tie between the two communities. The majority of the Marrero sales were new construction in Bent Tree, while the most popular Algiers subdivisions were Park Timbers and Tall Timbers.

There were 14 homes sold in this range. Marrero took the win away from last month’s winner, Algiers, with 4 of the 13 recorded sales.

Belle Chasse knocked Marrero out of the rankings for November, with 2 of the 3 homes sold for more than $500,000. Both were resale homes in the Springwood Estates subdivision.
