Sitting on just 2 streets in Algiers, Lakewood Estates is a small gated community of less than 75 homes. Of those, less than 20 are golf course lots, with views of the rehabbed Lakewood Golf Course.
Because it’s such a small subdivision, it’s not often that homes are available for purchase, with an average of just 2 or 3 properties sold per year.

Also nearby is Brechtel Park, with acres and acres of lagoons, playground areas and walking trails.
What’s the commute like?
If you work downtown, Lakewood Estates is a quick 10-15 minutes commute during normal hours and 15-30 minutes during rush hour. Travel time to Metairie is approximately 20 minutes and the airport is about 30 minutes away.
